Yellow Submarine

The day we found this shirt sitting in all its glory at BabyGap was a great day for Bundle! He serenaded all who wanted to hear (and probably some who didn't!) with:

"...we all lib in a yellow 'rine, yellow 'rine, yellow 'rine..."

He loves The Beatles! We have a book about the Yellow Submarine that is bascially the lyrics of the song with pictures. He knows that book by heart and it's read about 12,705 million times per day.

I love the coy smile that Kiki gives sometimes. It's like a smile that says, "I know something you don't!" In her teenage years I am not going to like any, "I know something you don't know" sort of expression, but for now it's totally cute.

Bundle usually gets a bath and then it's a book before bed. Since Kiki goes to bed around the same time as Bundle, Daddy has been taking over some of the bedtime routine. I usually can catch the last 5 minutes of storytime.
Bedtime is one of my favorite times of day. I often think back to when I was breastfeeding Bundle and even though I dreaded the 3am feedings, I miss it in someways. I remember when it would be just him and me in the quiet of the morning. We would get all comfy in the chair and we would rock while he ate. I would hear him breathing and feel the way he moved his little fist and fingers in a lulling himself to sleep kind of way.
Now, there are no more 3am feedings for him. His bedtime consists of him picking out a book, jumping onto his bed and lots of shrieking and talking as he gets excited over his book. He can "read" it to Mama and Daddy now. Sometimes when I am sitting next to him in bed during storytime, I hold his hand and remember how tiny those fingers were...

I love this picture of Bundle! I think this captures the true essence of his personality. He is sweet, easy-going, silly and most of all, loving. I cannot believe how lucky I am to have such a wonderful son!
